   Corn and Wheat Start Higher, Soybeans Lower After Government Stays Open

   December corn was up 2 cents, November soybeans were down 9 cents and
December KC wheat was up 5 cents.

   EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES:  December corn was up 2 cents, November
soybeans were down 9 cents and December KC wheat was up 5 cents.

   CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Monday, Dow Jones futures are steady after Congress
agreed to keep the U.S. government open through November 17, while opposing
factions continue to haggle over their differences. Except for Indonesia and
Philippines, manufacturing indices showed contraction in most Asian and
European economies overnight. An index of U.S. manufacturing will be out at 9
a.m. CDT. USDA's weekly grain export inspections at 10 a.m. CDT, followed by
NASS's Fats and Oil report at 2 p.m. and Crop Progress at 3 p.m.

   OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial
Average down 158.84 at 33,507.50 and the S&P 500 Index down 11.65 at 4,288.05.
The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.57%. Early Monday, December Dow Jones
futures are up 5 points. European markets are a little higher with the spot
futures of the London FTSE 100 trading down 0.29%, spot futures of Germany's
DAX trading up 0.22% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 0.32%.
Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 0.31% and China's
Shanghai Composite Index up 0.10%.
